Fernando Nogueira de Souza

Researcher at the Institute of Tropical Medicine - School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. Full advisor in the Graduate Program in Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ-USP). Academic background includes appointments as Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Alagoas (20242025) and at the Center for Agricultural Sciences, Federal University of Paraíba (20202022). Served as Visiting Researcher at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University, Belgium (2022).Postdoctoral training completed at FMVZ-USP (20152020), including a research period at Ghent University (20172018). Research efforts focus on host-pathogen interactions within a One Health framework, with emphasis on developing non-antibiotic strategies for the prevention of infectious diseases.
