Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics from the Federal University of Viçosa, PhD in Physics from the University of Minas Gerais, I bring a solid academic background in Condensed Matter Physics/Solid State. My studies and research have focused on the investigation of 2D materials, utilizing advanced techniques such as Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES), scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy (STM/STS), material synthesis, and electronic structure calculations using DFT. Additionally, I have experience in X-ray spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy.Throughout my career, I have worked on the production and characterization of thin films and nanostructures, as well as the exploration of mathematical formalisms in quantum mechanics, aiming to popularize the use of self-adjoint operators in teaching. I have also contributed to the theory of pseudocuticles in graphene and topological insulators.Currently, I focus my efforts on research involving 2D materials, both synthetic and mineral, with a focus on discovering new physical phenomena associated with the low dimensionality of these materials. I am committed to advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to the understanding of complex physical systems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
