Abstract
The Milky Way disk has two well-defined components. The thick disk has a larger scale height, is older, poorer in metals and has a [Mg/Fe] ratio ¿0.05. The thin disk has a smaller scale height, is younger, richer in metals and has [Mg/Fe] ~0.00 ± 0.05.
