Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity from UNESP (2023), a Masters degree in Wildlife Conservation (2018), and a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences (2015) from UFSCar, with a sandwich program at the University of Calgary, Canada (20122013). My research uses metacommunity ecology, statistical modeling and network science to understand how different aspects of human actions contribute to shaping biodiversity patterns in both natural and anthropogenic environments. Specifically, I am interested in how climate change, land-use change, socioeconomic factors, and individual human actions jointly affect the structure and stability of biological communities. Currently, I am a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Biology, State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where I investigate how socioeconomic structure relates to urban biodiversity. I have experience conducting field studies in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, performing mesocosm experiments, and building and analyzing databases using computational tools.
