Birthplace: Brazil

For the past three years, he has been working as an Artificial Intelligence researcher at CPQD, focusing on anomaly detection, optimization, and time series-related problems. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA) in 2022, where he specialized in the statistical processing of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) images based on Information Theory measures. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), earned in 2020, with research on error-correcting codes, as well as a master's degree in the same field from the same institution, completed in 2015. His academic interests include abstract algebra, coded modulation, Information Theory, and cooperative communication schemes. Among his contributions is the development of lattice codes for the physical layer with high spectral efficiency, using LDPC codes and shaping techniques. Currently, he focuses on developing Data Science and Machine Learning solutions, in addition to designing control logic and optimizing RAN operations via the RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) in 4G and 5G Open RAN networks.
