Vinícius Santiago dos Santos

I am currently a medical student at the University of São Francisco (USF), Scientific Director of the Neurology League and President of the Pulmonology and Phthisiology League. I have a solid technical background in Informatics, where I acquired solid skills in programming, data analysis and technological problem-solving. This technical background has been invaluable in my approach to medicine, especially in relation to medical informatics and scientific research. I also have a passion for music, especially the violin, as music has not only enriched my personal life, but has also provided me with valuable skills such as discipline, concentration and teamwork, which are applicable in my academic and professional journey in medicine. Throughout my academic journey, I have sought to integrate my multifaceted experience to enrich my understanding of human and scientific complexities. My research interests span several areas, including medical genetics, medical informatics and mental health. I am particularly interested in exploring the integration of biotechnology into medical practice, as well as investigating the complex interactions between genetic and environmental factors in human disease. I am seeking a career in medicine where I can apply my broad range of skills and knowledge to improve the health and well-being of patients, so I intend to continue learning and developing in various areas of medicine, while contributing to significant advances in research and clinical practice. I am undertaking Scientific Initiation in the LunGuardian research group (Epidemiology of Respiratory and Infectious Diseases) in the areas of Genetics, Infectology and Epidemiology.
