My research interest has been to understand how anthropogenic changes in tropical ecosystem landscapes influence biodiversity, community structure, and ecological processes. Recently, I have been focusing on bringing research into more applied contexts, fostering synergies, biodiversity conservation and science policy. Currently, I am applying for postdoc positions that fit this scope. Until last february, I worked as a research consultant for EcoHealth Alliance on Conservation and OneHealth projects. At the end of 2023, I completed my PhD in Ecology at the University of São Paulo under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Nichols and co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Renata Pardini. My thesis project aimed to investigate the responses of biodiversity in different components to landscape changes in the Atlantic Forest. Years earlier, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jos Barlow, my MSc dissertation in Applied Ecology evaluated levels of herbivory along a disturbance gradient in eastern Amazonia. Additionally, the foundation of my higher education was a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis on Environmental Studies and Ecology from the Federal Fluminense University, including an exchange period through the 'Science Without Borders' program. My areas of expertise include Biodiversity, Habitat Loss and Change, Landscape Ecology, Applied Ecology, and Data Science. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
