Augusto Akio Lucchezi Miyahara

He holds a Bachelor's and a Teaching Degree in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences at the University of São Paulo (IB-USP). As an undergraduate, he conducted a Scientific Initiation project at the Department of Botany (IB-USP), in the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Ecology, focusing on biotechnological approaches aimed at environmental conservation and the sustainable use of native plant species from Brazilian biomes. He earned his Ph.D. from the Environmental Research Institute of the State of São Paulo (IPA-SP) in the field of Plant Biodiversity and Environment, with research focused on the dendrochronology of urban trees and the development of Nature-Based Solutions.
