Jamil Ramsi Farkatt holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), with dual national recognition granted by the Graduate Programme in Administration and Controllership at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and the Graduate Programme in Production Engineering at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). He has complementary training in Technological Project Management from the University of León (ULe), as well as in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Porto Business School (PBS) and Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE). With more than a decade of experience across innovation ecosystems in Brazil and Europe, he develops projects at the interface of innovation, education, and management, advising startups, medium and large enterprises, foundations, social organisations, and universities. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at FGV EAESP within the CEPID BRIDGE, based at FEA-USP, where he investigates the creation and consolidation of global innovation ecosystems. Previously, he served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Startup Internationalisation at the Graduate Programme in Production Engineering of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), and later as a Postdoctoral Researcher at ESALQ/USP, conducting research on startup internationalisation and innovation-ecosystem governance. Throughout his career, he has also served as Innovation and Entrepreneurship Manager at the USP Innovation Agency (AUSPIN ESALQ), Visiting Lecturer in PRG0005 Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, the largest entrepreneurship module at the University of São Paulo, and Founder-Leader of the innovation laboratory onze19, dedicated to enhancing innovation capabilities within startups, medium-sized companies, and large corporations. His accumulated results include more than 100 accelerated ideas, startups, companies, and innovation projects; over 30 innovation challenges identified, validated, and connected with technology providers; more than 30 lectures, workshops, and training programmes delivered; participation in and structuring of over 20 innovation events, including demodays, pitchevents, conferences, and fairs; more than 10 digital innovation hubs commercialised, implemented, and/or managed; and direct impact on more than 20 organisations, corporate foundations, medium-sized and large enterprises.
