PhD in Nuclear Technology-Applications from the Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research (2000) specialization in advanced ceramics from the Japan Fine Ceramic Center-JFCC Nagoya - Japan and in remediation of contaminated soils from Obihiro University Hokaido-Japan. Specialization in the development of a management platform for the remediation of contaminated areas (DARTS) at the International Center for Science and High Technology - ICS UNIDO-Trieste/ Italy. Currently works as coordinator of research projects, advisor and teacher of the postgraduate course - Analysis and management of environmental risk (TNA 5766) at the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research / USP, receiving international students under the IPEN agreement with University of Punjé in Mozambique Africa. Researcher specializing in environmental sanitation with an emphasis on the treatment of contaminated water, working mainly on the following topics: Monitoring of surface waters, development of adsorbers for the valorization of lithium mining effluents, synthesis of advanced photocatalysts using templates, natural biomolds such as biochar, diatomite , the cyanobacteria spirulina and the algae Chlorella. Participation in the agreement with Dr Vijaya Kumar Rangari from Tuskegee University in Alabama USA in the use of nanoparticles in the synthesis of advanced photocatalysts using biomolds for the solar photodecomposition of pharmaceutical compounds from contaminated water and removal of Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene - BTEX from groundwater.
