Rocío Lucía Beatriz Riveros Maidana

PhD candidate and MSc in Computational and Systems Biology at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (Fiocruz), with a Bachelors degree in Biotechnology from the National University of Asunción (2017). Currently works on the prediction of viral inhibitor resistance, focusing on HIV-1 proteases, using physicochemical descriptors and machine learning models to identify molecular patterns associated with resistance. Has previous experience in phenotypic screening assays, preclinical evaluation of trypanocidal compounds, and structure-based drug discovery (Structure-Based Drug Design, SBDD).
