Thaís Amaral e Sousa

bachelor's at Biological Sciences from State University of Goiás (2004), and master's (2007) and doctor's (2011) degree at Biochemistry from School of Medicine from University of São Paulo. She spent 6 months at "Beackman Research Institute, City of Hope Medical Center, Duarte-CA, USA as an exchange researcher. She is a post-doc fellow at School of Medicine from University of São Paulo studying the regulation of mitochondrial function and glucose and fat acid metabolism by microRNA in insulin resistant skeletal muscle.
