Anderson Roberti dos Reis is an Associate Professor at the Department of History at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). He completed his Ph.D. in Social History at the University of São Paulo in 2012. He conducted research as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS) at Columbia University in New York (2018/2019). He is the author of "República Letrada. Jesuítas e bom governo no Mexico (séculos XVI-XVII)" (Appris, 2019) and "A Conversão do Novo Mundo" (Paco, 2012), and co-author of "Sobre o Novo Mundo. A história e a historiografia das Américas na Primeira Modernidade em 10 entrevistas" (Prismas, 2018). He teaches and conducts research in History, with an emphasis on the History of the Americas during the colonial period. He leads the "LAméricas. Studies and Research in Colonial American History" (UFMT/CNPq), is a researcher at the Brazilian branch of the Red Columnaria, a member of H_Moderna - Brazilian Network of Studies in Modern History and the Research Group "Corruption and Power in the Iberian World (16th-18th centuries)" (UFMG/CNPq). He coordinated the Bachelor's Degree in History at UFMT from 2020 to 2022. He was the editor-in-chief of the Territórios Fronteiras (PPGHis-UFMT) from 2015 to 2017 and the vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in History at UFMT from 2013 to 2015. He is a reviewer for specialized History journals and is currently a member of the editorial board of the Revista Brasileira de História (RBH/Anpuh) and the journals "História - Unisinos" and "Estudos Ibero-americanos" (PUC/RS). Currently, he is conducting research on individuals and groups classified as vagabonds in New Spain during the 16th and 17th centuries. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
