Lindolfo da Silva Meirelles

holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1999), a Master's degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2003), and a Ph.D. in Science (Genetics and Molecular Biology) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2007). He has been a professor at the School of Medicine and the Graduate Program in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Lutheran University of Brazil (ULBRA) for over a decade, where he reached the rank of Full Professor. He has experience in the field of Genetics, with an emphasis on Cellular Biology, working primarily on the following topics: stem cells; tissue repair; biology and applications of mesenchymal stem cells/postnatal stromal cells; pericytes; interactions between mesenchymal stem cells/stromal cells, endothelial cells, and macrophages.
