Graduated in Biological Sciences (2005/ UEM), Master's and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology (FMRP-USP 2007 and 2011) with a sandwich PhD at Johns Hopkins University (2010/ USA). Completed postdoctoral studies (2011-2017) at FCFRP-USP, with part of the work developed at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain, 2011), at the Technical University of Berlin (Germany, 2013), and at the University of Nottingham (2017-2018). Also completed postdoctoral studies at FOA-Unesp (2019-2021). Currently, is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Chemistry of the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (Unesp/Araraquara), a Young Researcher (FAPESP), a Collaborating Researcher (FCFRP-USP), and an Associate Researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Human Pathogenic Fungi (INCT-FUNVIR). Has experience in the area of Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Genetics of Microorganisms with an emphasis on Clinical Mycology, mainly working on the following topics: biochemistry and genetics of filamentous fungi, fungal immunopathogenesis, innate immune response to fungal infections, regulation of immunometabolism in Aspergillosis, purification and characterization of recombinant proteins on a large scale, characterization of natural compounds with antimicrobial activity, and repositioning of chemical compounds with antimicrobial activity.
