Ricardo Lombardi has a degree in Biology from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (2007-UPM Scholarship). He received a Scientific Initiation Scholarship (2006/2007) from CNPq, under the guidance of Silvia R. Galleti, at the Electron Microscopy Laboratory of the Instituto Biológico, developing the ?Studies on the ultrastructural aspects of passion fruit infected by viruses and immunolocation of viral proteins?. He has a master's degree in Health, Food and Environmental Safety in Agribusiness, developing the work "Cloning and purification of Banana streak virus capsid protein and production of polyclonal antiserum from purified preparations of the virus" at Instituto Biológico de São Paulo, under the guidance of Dr. Addolorata Colariccio and supervised by Dr. Ricardo Harakava, with FAPESP-Master's scholarship.
