Is currently Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Formerly, President of the Brazilian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SBFA) (2021-3). Obtained Agrégation in Philosophy (Université Paris X-Nanterre, 1994), DEA (Université Paris 1-Panthéon Sorbonne, 1997) and PhD in Philosophy (Université Paris 1-Panthéon Sorbonne, 2005). Was Visiting Fellow at Harvard University (GSAS, 2000-1) on Fulbright and Arthur Sachs Scholarships, Resident at the Maison Française d'Oxford (2001-2002) on a Lavoisier Scholarship, Visiting Researcher at the Wittgenstein Archives of the University of Bergen (2002, 2003, 2004) on a ARI Grant from the European Union, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of São Paulo on a FAPESP Scholarship (2008-10) and at the Center for Logic, Epistemology, and the History of Science (UNICAMP) on a CNPq Senior Post-Doctoral Scholarship (2021-2). Foi CNPq research productivity grantee (level 2) over the following periods: 2015-8, 2018-21, 2021-4. His areas of interest include the philosophy of language and mind, epistemology and the history of analytic philosophy, with a special emphasis on singular reference, de re thought, indexicality, cognitive dynamics, expressive meaning, (individual and collective) intentionality, spatial perception.
