Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo. Has experience in Natural Products Chemistry, acting on the following subjects: secondary metabolism, biological activities metabolomics, biosynthesis and metabolic engineering. Currently an Associate Professor in the Institute of Chemistry of Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul.Dr. Nidia Yoshida holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2004), a Master's degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2007), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2013), with a sandwich period at Washington State University under the supervision of Dr. Norman G. Lewis. Served as a Regional Scientific Development Researcher at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, supported by the DCR-FUNDECT/CNPq fellowship. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemistry at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, and is an advisor in the graduate programs in Chemistry (Master's and Ph.D.) and Health and Development in the Midwest Region (Master's and Ph.D.) at UFMS. She has experience in the field of Organic Chemistry, with an emphasis on Natural Products Chemistry, mainly focusing on the following topics: chemical analysis of plants from the Pantanal and Cerrado, isolation and characterization of secondary metabolites, metabolomic analysis, evaluation of the biological properties of plant extracts, isolated molecules and essential oils, biosynthesis of natural products, and molecular biology.
