Graduate at Licenciatura en Biologia from Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (1998) and Ph.d. at Ecología y Manejo de Recursos Naturales from Instituto de Ecologia, A. C. (2007), both done in Mexico. Post-doctoral fellowship in the Molecular Ecology group of Monash University, Australia collaborating with Dr. Paul Sunnucks and associates. Postdoctoral position in the lab of Behavior and Evolution of Arthropods conducted by Dr. Glauco Machado in the Instituto de Biociências of Universidade de São Paulo (USP). The postdoctoral project deals with the evolution of sexual dimorphism and the origins of male alternative phenotypes in the opiliones of the family Gonyleptidae. Experience in Zoology, focusing on Animal Behavior and Population Ecology. In the behavioral ecology discipline has a special interest in sexual selection and paternal care issues in arthropods. Has interest in population ecology-behavioral ecology interface, specifically in the estimation of demographic parameters such as abundance, migration and survival in a series of systems, modeling data obtained from capture-recapture methods.
