Simone dos Santos Grecco

Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance of São Paulo - ARIES Project (CEPID FAPESP), at the Paulista School of Medicine and at the Post Graduate Program in Chemical Biology at UNIFESP. Her project includes the use of omics tools to understand the adaptive mechanisms of ESKAPE Bacteria for the generation of resistance to antimicrobial agents, development of diagnostic methods using metabolomics, in addition to the search for bioactives in endophytic fungi to combat resistant bacteria that cause nosocomial infections. She has a degree in Chemistry with technological assignments from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (2006-2010). Master of Science, Postgraduate Program in Chemical Biology from the Federal University of São Paulo (2010-2012). PhD in Science and Technology - Chemistry from the Federal University of ABC (2012-2016), Sandwich Doctorate internship at the Technische Universität Braunschweig in Germany (2014-2015) through the Sandwich Doctorate Program Abroad (PDSE - Capes). Specialization in Research and Development of Cosmetic Products - Advanced Cosmetology, from the Racine Institute (2020-2022). Participated in training in entrepreneurship and innovation (Catalisa ICT - Sebrae; PIPE Empreendedor - FAPESP; INPI). Temporarily away from her duties at the startup Triplet Biotechnology Solutions, in which she is a founder partner, (Triplet Soluções em Biotecnologia LTDA, with its own headquarters and incubated at CITEB/UNESP-Bauru), which included acting in the development of innovative biotechnological products and processes, and provision of health services, as well as in its financial and administrative management. She was a professor and researcher at Anhanguera University of São Paulo - UNIAN, between 2017 and 2020, working in the Postgraduate Programs in Biotechnology and Innovation in Health; Professional Master's Degree in Pharmacy; and Teaching of Sciences and Health. In addition to being a collaborating researcher, without employment ties, at the Center for Natural and Human Sciences at UFABC, and a Volunteer Researcher at the Department of Biosciences and Oral Diagnosis of ICT-UNESP in São José dos Campos. Develops, coordinates and/or collaborates in research projects that aim at prospecting and isolating bioactive compounds, through chromatographic, spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques, for various pathologies, especially neglected diseases and resistant bacteria, as well as oral diseases, cancers, respiratory disorders and mental disorders, from Brazilian Plant Species and Endophytic Fungi from the Atlantic Forest, including Medicinal Plants of Interest to the SUS - RENISUS.
