Since 2011, Wesley has been active in the Brazilian Electric Sector, focusing on energy price projection, power system planning, and risk management. He recently held the position of Energy Manager at Czarnikow, where he led the structuring of middle and back office operations, as well as negotiation strategies and market analysis. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Campinas (Unicamp) and conducted scientific research in signal processing with FAPESP funding, focusing on the "Analysis of Tools for Blind Source Separation." Currently, he is completing an MBA in Data Science Analytics, with a thesis titled "Risk Modeling for Energy Portfolio Management."His technical expertise includes energy price projections (PLD), portfolio management, regulatory, market, and credit risk analysis, as well as hydrological and demand forecasting. He is proficient in optimization methods, such as Linear Programming (LP), Nonlinear Programming (NLP), and Dynamic Programming, along with artificial intelligence techniques, including neural networks, fuzzy systems, and genetic algorithms.
