He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2008) from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica of São Paulo (PUC-SP), a Master's and Ph.D. in Sciences (Biology of the pathogen-host relationship) by the Biomedical Sciences Institute of the University of São Paulo (ICB-USP). He completed his post-doctoral at the same institute in the Department of Parasitology (2018). He is currently Professor at the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB) at the Institute of Humanities, Arts and Sciences (IHAC) and at the Center of Formation in Environmental Sciences (CFCAm). He has experience in Epidemiology and Biochemistry, with emphasis on Parasitology and Chemistry of Macromolecules. The mainly focus is on the following topics: epidemiological surveys of enteroparasites, analytical methods for identification and quantification of compounds (TLC, HPLC, LC-MS / MS, GC-MS / MS) helminthology, protozoology, Plasmodium falciparum, Leishmania sp. and metabolic pathways.
