Bruno Zilberstein completed his Master's degree in 1980, his Doctorate in Medicine (Digestive System Surgery) in 1985 and his Habilitation in 1989 from the University of São Paulo. He is currently Associate Professor level 3 in the Department of Gastroenterology at the University of São Paulo; Full Professor of Digestive System Surgery and Coloproctology at the São Leopoldo Mandic School of Medicine and Professor Honoris Causa at the School of Medicine of the Federal University of Goiás; He was Director of the Stomach and Small Intestine Surgery Service at the Hospital das Clínicas of the School of Medicine of USP; Coordinator of the Oncological Surgery Service of the Esophagus at the Hospital Beneficiência Portuguesa de São Paulo.He is a specialist in Digestive System Surgery from the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery and is also qualified for Minimally Invasive Surgery, Oncological Surgery and Bariatric Surgery by the same College. He is a specialist in Gastroenterology from the Brazilian Federation of Gastroenterology; Specialist in Nutrition from the Brazilian Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition; Specialist in Intensive Care from the Brazilian Society of Intensive Care.
