Degree in Nursing and Midwifery, Universidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (1983); Masters degree in Obstetric Nursing, Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1989); Doctorate in Maternal Child Nursing, Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1995); and Associate Professor in Maternal and Child and Psychiatric Nursing, Universidade de São Paulo (2001). Member of the Technical Team for the Coordination of Womens Health at the Ministry of Health from 1997 to 2003; Dean of Administration at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo from 2013 to 2015; and Director of the Escola Paulista de Enfermagem from 2015 to 2020. She is currently Full Professor and Associate Professor at the Department of Nursing in Womens Health; Director of the Escola Paulista de Enfermagem; and Editor-in-Chief of the Revista Acta Paulista de Enfermagem. Member of the National Technical Chamber of Ethics and Research in Transplantation of the National Transplant System - Ministry of Health. She has experience in the field of Nursing with an emphasis on Obstetric Nursing, Womens Health, and Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation, working mainly in the following topics: pregnancy, delivery and birth care; womens health care; and research in the area of public health policy, ethics/bioethics and organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
