He holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2009), a Masters degree (2012), and a Ph.D. (2016) in Basic and Applied Immunology from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo (USP). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford, UK (20172022), funded by the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and the BRC-NIHR, investigating the role of regulatory T cell subpopulations in the pathogenesis and therapeutic response to anti-TNF in inflammatory bowel diseases. He served as a research group leader at the pharmaceutical company Immunocore, based in Abingdon, UK (20222023). He was approved in a public examination for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, and is currently in the hiring process. He is the principal investigator of a FAPESP Young Investigator Grant. He serves as a reviewer for national and international journals and funding agencies. His expertise lies in Immunology and Pharmacology, with research focused on immunomodulation, regulatory T cells, autoimmune diseases, therapy response, and omics platforms.
