Jean Carlos Rodrigues da Silva

Holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo (FFCLRP/USP, 2003), a Master's degree (2009), and a Ph.D. (2013) in Sciences from the Biochemistry Graduate Program at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto (FMRP/USP). Has been a professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP) since 2010.Has experience in Biochemistry and Microbiology, with research focused on enzyme production by filamentous fungi, cellulases, and biomass hydrolysis. Since 2017, has worked on innovation in processes and products within the brewing technology field. Completed international training in Malting and Brewing Technology at KU Leuven, Belgium, and national training courses such as Advanced Brewing Technology and Beer Microbiology at the Escola Superior de Cerveja e Malte (Higher School of Beer and Malt) in Brazil.In academic management, coordinated the Institutional Development Plan (PDI 2019-2023) at IFSP and held strategic positions such as General Director of the Matão Campus (2013) and Advisor to the Rectory (2014-2016).Currently, is a professor at the Sertãozinho Campus, teaching in the Chemistry Licentiate, Chemistry Technician, and Brewing Technician programs. Also coordinates the Brewing Technician program and the Multidisciplinary Center for Brewing Technology (CTCerv) at IFSP Sertãozinho. Additionally, leads the Research Group in Brewing Technology (GPCERV/CNPq), developing projects that integrate sustainability, bioeconomy, and innovation. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
