Birthplace: Brazil

I got my degree in Physics (2003) from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), and the master (2005) and doctorate (2009) degree in Space Geophysics from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE-MCTI). I carried out research at the postdoctoral level at INPE, initially as a junior postdoctoral fellow at CNPq, between January and September 2010, and between October 2010 and January 2013, with another research project, a postdoctoral fellow at FAPESP. From February 2013 to January 2014 he served as Professor, Adjunct level I, at the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), Campus de Guarapuava-PR. In February 2014, I joined INPE/MCTI as an effective researcher, Adjunct level I. Currently, I am working at the Southern Space Coordination (COESU) of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE-MCTI), in Santa Maria-RS, holding the position of Titular Researcher (level III). In the former Southern Regional Center (CRS), current COESU, I held the commissioned position (FCPE 101.1) of Head of the Antarctic Project Service (PAN) of INPE from April 2016 to September 2020. Currently, I am the Coordinator (Head) of the Southern Space Coordination (COESU/INPE-MCTI) and also in charge for the research activities at the Southern Space Observatory (OES/COESU/INPE-MCTI). Since 2016, I am also a Volunteer Collaborating Professor at the Grad Program in Meteorology (PPGMet) linked to the Physics Department of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). I have experience in optical instrumentation, including laboratory calibrations, assembly, testing, installation, and maintenance of instruments in remote sites. My scientific work is in the area of #8203;#8203;Space and Atmospheric Sciences, with a particular interest in the physical and chemical phenomena of the middle and upper Earth's atmosphere.
