Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a degree in Computer Science from Faculdades Integradas de Caratinga, which I earned in 2005. I also obtained my master's degree in 2008 and my PhD in 2013, both in Electronic and Computer Engineering with a focus on Informatics from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). Since 2010, I have been a professor in the Department of Computing at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), where I currently serve as an associate professor. I am a permanent professor and the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Computer Science at UFOP, which has a CAPES rating of 5. My expertise is in Computer Science, particularly in graph theory, the design and analysis of algorithms, and computational experiments. I also have a background in Production Engineering with a specialization in operations research. My primary research interests include the design and analysis of ad hoc heuristics and metaheuristics, as well as computational experiments and production scheduling problems in flexible manufacturing systems. Additionally, I actively contribute to the field by authoring and reviewing articles for international journals and national conferences within Operations Research. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
