He began his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRuralRJ) in 1999. He was a teaching assistant for Immunology in 2001 and Animal Physiology I and II in 2002. He received a scientific initiation scholarship from FAPERJ from 2003 to 2004 for a project in animal physiology. After graduating in 2004, he entered the postgraduate program in sciences: Physiology at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School at the University of São Paulo (USP). There, he earned his two main academic degrees: a Master's in 2010 and a Doctorate in 2016. Since 2017, he has taught at higher education institutions, specializing in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Animal Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, and Immunology. In basic scientific research, his interests include electrophysiology, functional neuroanatomy, and basic and behavioral neuroendocrinology and neuroscience. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
