Undergraduated in Dentistry (Federal University of Maranhão - UFMA), with Specialization in Periodontology (UNICAMP, Brazil) and Masters and Doctorate in Pharmacology, Anesthesiology and Therapeutics (UNICAMP, Brazil). She had a collaborative period (PhD Sandwich during Doctorate) at The Forsyth Institute (Harvard Medical / Dental School, Cambridge, MA, USA) in the Department of Immunology. She is currently Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Maranhão (Departament of Dentistry II/ Periodontology area). Her main research lines are related to the search of novel pharmacological therapies to the control of oral infections diseases using natural products or synthetic substances.
