Magda dos Santos Ribeiro

Professor of Anthropology at Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (2016) with research supported by FAPESP. She held doctoral training at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris III (2012) and was Rutherford Fellow at Manchester University (2018-2019). Your researches aims to understand the relationship between traditional knowledge and Euro-American practices of knowledge through a comparative perspective, involving issues such as exchange economies; material culture; image and knowledge; capitalism and environment; the emergence of new technologies.
