Igor Braga is Founder and Chief Scientist at modell.ai, a research and development lab dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence for Business Transformation. He earned his Ph.D. from ICMC-USP under the supervision of Professor Maria Carolina Monard. In addition, he was a research intern at NEC Laboratories America in Princeton, NJ, where he worked under the direct supervision of Dr. Vladimir Vapnik, one of the creators of Support Vector Machines and the founder of the field of statistical learning. In the industry, he led data science projects and products that supported sales and marketing strategies at companies such as Nubank, AB InBev, GSK, BRF, Ipiranga, among others.
