Michel Rodrigo Zambrano Passarini

He has a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from Universidade Paulista (2004), a master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (2008) and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology of Microorganisms from the State University of Campinas (2012). She carried out part of the PhD project at the Micoteca of the University of Minho in Portugal (2010)-Department of Biological Engineering (DEB). Post-Doctorate in Sustainability Science and Technology from the Federal University of São Paulo (2014). He is currently a professor of the Biotechnology course at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA), professor of the Postgraduate Program in Bioscience (PPGBC/UNILA), professor of the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Energy and Sustainability (PPGIES/UNILA) and collaborator at the State University of Campinas (DRM/CPQBA) and Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Deputy Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Bioscience (PPGBC/UNILA). Deputy curator of the Culture Collection of Microorganisms of Biotechnological and Environmental Importance (CCMIBA) at Unila. He has experience in the area of Biotechnology, with an emphasis on Molecular and Microorganism Genetics. Expertise in the area of Microbial Ecology, using Metagenomics and Metabarcoding tools, and Microbial Bioprospecting of extreme environments (Participation in Operation Antarctica XLI - 2022/2023) in the search for enzymes and metabolites of industrial interest applicable to biofuel production and degradation processes of environmental pollutants.
