has a BA and is a licensed teacher in History by the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1999), has a Master's degree in Social History from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2001) and has a D.Phil. in Archaeology, with thesis in Prehistoric European Archaeology, from the University of Oxford (2007). She has experience in Archaeology, focusing on Prehistoric European Archaeology, and in History, focusing on ancient and medieval history. She works particularly on the following subjects: ritual dynamics, political economy, ancient Celts, chiefdoms, Archaic Greece, Bronze and Iron Ages in Western Europe, Landscape Archaeology, Funerary Archaeology, and Ancient colonizations. She was a postdoctoral researcher at LABECA/MAE/USP, where she developed research on ports of Phocaean foundations (from Archaic to Roman periods). Currently, she is an associate professor in Ancient History at UFF, Coordinator of the Humanities comission of the work group on Artificial Inteligence at UFF, and researcher at NEREIDA/UFF. Her current research interests dwell on postcolonial theory, Iron Age, migrations, cultural interaction, funerary archaeology, 3D technologies applied to cultural heritage, digital heritage, AI, and digital technologies applied to History teaching.
