Juliana was an intern at Centro APTA Citros Sylvio Moreira. She did her master's degree at ESALQ / USP in the Agricultural Microbiology program, under the supervision of Juliana Freitas Astúa, with an emphasis on virology, working mainly with genetic variability of the Citrus Leprosis Virus - CiLV-C. She was a Ph.D. student in the Plant Pathology department at the University of Florida, under the guidance of Dr. Jeffrey B. Jones and financed by the Science without Borders / CNPq program.
