Doctor and master's degree from the Neurology Program at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP). Specialist in Neurosciences from the Faculty of Medicine of ABC (FMABC) and gerontologist from the University of São Paulo (USP). She was the coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Gerontology at the Paulista Faculty of Social Service (FAPSS) in São Paulo and is currently a professor of the Postgraduate Course in Gerontology at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo (EACH-USP) and the bachelor's degree in Gerontology from EACH-USP.She coordinates the studies "The effectiveness of a multifactorial cognitive stimulation program on cognition and psychosocial variables of non-demented and non-depressed elderly: a randomized controlled trial" and "Graduate I WN29922 Clinical Trial", a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase III study of the efficacy and safety of Gantenerumab in patients with early Alzheimer's disease (prodromal to mild). She is a voluntary coordinator of the support group for caregivers and family members of patients with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (Arquidiocesano unit, São Paulo region) since 2009, of the Brazilian Association of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (ABRAz).She works on cognitive training and stimulation activities and develops studies in the areas of cognition, normal and pathological aging, with research lines in multifactorial cognitive stimulation in the cognition and psychosocial variables of elderly people; online psychoeducational interventions combined with cognitive exercises to promote active aging; emotional burden and support for caregivers of elderly people with dementia; gerontology management and gerontological practices.She coordinated field activities of the research entitled: Permanent Education: Benefits of Open University for the Elderly | EACH-USP, financed by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira | Ministry of Education (Selection Notice No. 02/2009 - INEP/MEC). She is a researcher at the Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology Group - Department of Neurology HC-FMUSP and the Center for Reference in Cognitive Disorders of the Elderly (CEREDIC).
