Lidiane Maciel holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (2009), a Master's degree (2012), and a PhD (2016) in Sociology from the State University of Campinas. She completed a sandwich internship at Université Paris Ouest Nanterre (2014-2015) and is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology at the State University of Campinas, with an emphasis on social research techniques and methods (2017). She was a researcher in the FAPESP Thematic Project "Observatory of Migrations in the State of São Paulo" (NEPO/UNICAMP), coordinated by Prof. Dr. Rosana Baeninger. Currently, she is a faculty member and researcher at the Faculty of Education and Arts of the University of Vale do Paraíba (UNIVAP) and at the Graduate Program in Regional and Urban Planning at the Institute of Research and Development (PLUR/IPD-UNIVAP), where she develops research and extension projects. Her areas of study include Urban Sociology, Demography/Population Studies, and Regional and Urban Planning. She is a researcher at the Public Policy Studies Center (NEEPS) at São Paulo State University (UNESP - Franca Campus), coordinator of the Action-Research and Social Cartography Extension Center at the University of Vale do Paraíba (NEPACS/UNIVAP), and vice-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Vale do Paraíba (PPGPLUR).
