Magali holds a Bachelor's degree in Languages with a major in Translation from UNESP (1985), an MBA from FGV-São Paulo (1989-1992), a Master's degree in Linguistics from UNESP (2004), a PhD in Linguistics from UNESP (2008). She developed post-doctoral projects in the Interinstitutional Center for Computational Linguistics (NILC) at USP São Carlos (2009-2011, 2012-2013, 2014, 2020). She worked as a post-doctoral fellow on projects funded by Microsoft, Samsung and, currently, IBM, at the Center for Artificial Intelligence (C4AI). Her skills include: semantic and syntactic annotation of corpus, automatic opinion analysis, metrics for text complexity assessment, and creation of lexical resources for NLP.
