Leonardo Lorenzo Bravo Roger

Currently, he is the director of the Faculty of Technology at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He is an engineer and holds a master's degree in Telecommunications, obtained from the University of Oriente (Cuba) in 1985 and 1998, respectively. He earned his doctorate in Electrical Engineering at the State University of Campinas (Brazil) in 2003 and received the title of Livre Docente in November 2018. He is an Associate Professor at level MS 5.2 in the Faculty of Technology at UNICAMP. He primarily works in the following research areas: Radiofrequency Sensing, Radio Frequency Machine Learning Systems (RFMLS), Antennas, Radio Frequency Technologies, Microwave, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Terahertz Identification (THID), Metamaterials, Nanotechnology, Wireless Sensor Networks, Mobile Communications, and Optical Communications, Finite Element Simulations, Propagation of Ultrashort Pulses and Plasmonic Waves, Radio Wave Propagation, and Applied Electromagnetism. He has published 58 scientific papers, including 28 articles in specialized journals and 30 papers in conferences: 27 full articles and 3 conference presentations. He has also published 1 book chapter. He has supervised (or co-supervised) 10 master's theses (3 ongoing), supervised (or co-supervised) 6 doctoral theses (2 ongoing), and 25 scientific initiation projects. He has acted as coordinator (or collaborator) in 10 funded scientific projects. He has supervised 29 extension projects, 28 of which were between UNICAMP and the company BRADAR-EMBRAER in the development of radars, and 1 ongoing project for the development of a semi-autonomous bicycle for visually impaired individuals.
