Marcella Grecco wrote the book Cleo de Verberena e O Mysterio do Dominó Preto (1931), published in 2021. She holds a PhD in Media and Audiovisual Processes from the University of São Paulo (USP) with a thesis entitled Cleo de Verberena: Brazilian woman filmmaker, financed by FAPESP. In 2018, she received a CAPES sandwich doctorate scholarship and spent a semester at Columbia University, New York, when she got in touch with the Women Film Pioneers Project. She holds a master degree in Multimedia from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), which she developed with the support of a CAPES scholarship, a postgraduate degree in Cultural Journalism from the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) and a Bachelor of Social Communication degree - qualification in Midialogy from UNICAMP, when she conducted two scientific initiations with CAPES and FAPESP scholarship.
