Jorge Luis Baliño was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated in Nuclear Engineering (1983) and made a PhD in Nuclear Engineering (1991) at Instituto Balseiro, Argentina. He worked for Techint S.A. (1983-1984), Centro Atómico Bariloche and Instituto Balseiro (1985-2000) in Argentina, Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (2001-2003) at São Paulo, Brazil. Since 2004 he is Professor at Universidade de São Paulo. His research interests are Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer and Multiphase Flow. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
