Danielle de Almeida Bressiani

Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering by University of Sao Paulo (2010) (Brazil), with abroad studies at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA), with funding from CAPES/FIPSE. During undergraduate period has conducted three research scientific initiations. Doctor by the Graduate Program in Hydraulics and Sanitation Engineering from EESC/USP (straight PhD) (03/2016), with funding from FAPESP. Having done part of the PhD abroad, with periods of research activities at Texas AM University (USA), Ecolab (France) e Eawag (Switzerland). She was researcher and then the Research Coordinator at the RDI Lab of the Brazilian Meteorological Agency Ltda. (Climatempo), as also part of the management committee. Currently is a Professor on Water Resources Engineering at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel). Danielle is permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Soil and Water Management and Conservation (PPG MACSA/ UFPel) and is a colaborator professor of the Graduate Programe in Water Resources Engineering (PPGRH/ UFPel).Acted as Associate Editor for the Hydrological Science Journal (HSJ), and is a reviewer for several national and international scientific journals. Gives lectures and short courses at events, companies and universities in Brazil and abroad. Has diverse interests in the areas of: water resources engineering; hydrological modeling; Soil Water Assessment Tool; hydrology; urban hydrology; water and soil conservation; hydraulics; fluid mechanics; water security; smart cities and farming; basic sanitation; hydro-meteorological disasters management; and hydrological forecasting, related to floods and droughts.
