Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at Centro Universitário de Rio Preto - UNIRP in 2012 with a research fellowship of CI by São Paulo Research Foundation in the areas of Topographic Anatomy and Veterinary Histology. He has done his Residency Program in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, FMVZ - UNESP, Botucatu, and has achieved his Master's Degree and PhD by the Post-graduate Program in Veterinary Medicine at the Department of Veterinary Clinics at FMVZ - UNESP, Botucatu with emphasis on Nephrology, Renal Replacement Therapies and Renal Biomarkers for small animals.Currently, André is a Brazilian ambassador for the International Renal Interest Society (IRIS), works as a postdoctoral fellow in the departments of advanced ECC and Extracorporeal therapies at the veterinary hospital at North Carolina State University, is a member of the board of directors of the European Society of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology, is a member of the American Society of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology (ASVNU), member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), member of the Brazilian College of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology (CBNUV), and is an active participant in the Hemodialysis Academy group organized by IRIS.
