Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2012), with specialized training in cell cycle and growth factor activity in Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2012), with an emphasis on cell cycle studies and growth factor activity in human keratinocytes. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same institution (2017), investigating metabolism and cell signaling during malignant transformation in cervical cancer. He completed his postdoctoral training at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (USA, 20172022), specializing in tumor metabolism with a focus on mitochondrial biology in lung and thyroid cancers. Subsequently, he worked as a Research Associate at the same institute (20222025).He is currently a Researcher at the Cancer Institute of São Paulo (ICESP) and the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP), where he leads a Young Investigator project aimed at investigating the activation of mitogenic pathways in lung cancer cells under metabolic stress induced by mitochondrial blockade and/or amino acid deprivation. He has extensive experience in Biochemistry, with a focus on tumor metabolism, cell signaling, and mitochondrial metabolism. His research has involved lung, cervical, thyroid, and renal cancers, using human and mouse cell culture systems, genetically engineered mouse models, and patient-derived samples. His work stands out for integrating advanced knowledge in cell and molecular biology to study tumor processes and identify new metabolic vulnerabilities with therapeutic potential.
