Birthplace: Brazil

I am currently an integrated researcher at the Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia do Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (CIES- Iscte) and an invited assistant professor at the Department of Sociology, Escola de Sociologia e Políticas Públicas, Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ESPP.Iscte). I have a Ph.D. in Education from the Universidade of São Paulo (2017) and was awarded a doctoral scholarship in the country by the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). I also have a Master's degree in Education from the Universidade de São Paulo (2012) and a Master's scholarship from the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP). I have a degree in History from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2006) and worked as a history teacher from 2007 to 2019, mainly in public schools in the ABC Paulista and the city of São Paulo. My experience as a teacher in basic education is reflected in my research interests and in my view of education and science. I am currently doing research in sociology and education (in Brazil and Portugal) and my main research interests are family studies, generations, political socialisation, politicisation and research methods in social and human sciences, especially qualitative methodology. I'm also interested in and work on labour, the working class and social inequalities in different contexts, as well as studies on the ABC Paulista region. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
