Cláudio Robert Pierini

Professor at ESALQ/USP, Postdoctoral Fellow in Urban Engineering (PPGEU-UFSCar 2024-2025), Postdoctoral Researcher in Public Administration (2021), Doctor of Urban Engineering from UFSCar (2020), Master of Science in Architecture and Urbanism from IAU/USP São Carlos (2014), Bachelor of Administration with a specialization in Public Administration from UNESP - Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (2011), and Licensed in Physical Education from UFSCar - Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2004). Cláudio Robert Pierini always had a natural inclination for education, standing out from his early school years. During elementary school in public schools, he demonstrated an aptitude for language and logic, often helping his classmates understand assignments. This ability to teach showed his vocation for teaching from an early age. Despite the challenges faced by the teaching profession in Brazil, Cláudio pursued his passion for teaching, seeing the recognition of his profession as gratifying, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, when the importance of science was widely discussed. His career path is marked by constant efforts in internships, exchange programs, classes, projects, conference papers, articles, book chapters, awards, study groups, and academic travels, supported by his network of contacts. Cláudio graduated in areas related to urbanism and public administration, obtaining undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral degrees, in addition to having proficiency in several languages. His university career includes important positions and scientific awards, as well as scholarships for study and research. He excelled in various research lines and groups, contributing significantly to scientific production with journal articles, books, book chapters, and presentations at scientific events. In his academic career, Cláudio served on various collegiate bodies, technical course development and implementation commissions, and scholarship and postgraduate councils. His contribution to community service outreach is constantly remembered, involving himself in guidance and community consulting activities, in addition to participating in the organization and coordination of congresses and seminars. Cláudio also played an active role in supervising final course projects, collaborating in the training of new professionals. His involvement in scientific events, workshops, and governance programs demonstrates his continuous commitment to education and science.
