Professor (Adjunct A) in the Department of Physiological Sciences (CFS) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). She holds a PhD (2018) and a Master's (2014) in Functional and Molecular Biology from the State University of Campinas, and a degree (2010) in Biological Sciences - Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of São Carlos - Sorocaba-SP Campus (UFSCar). She completed an internship at Boston University (Boston University (Massachusetts-USA; 2016). She has 12 years of experience in Vascular Biology. During this period, she developed technical skills in Molecular Biology (Western blot, PCR) and Functional Biology (evaluation of blood vessel function using the following equipment: Tissue baths - Panlab Harvard Apparatus and Wire myograph system - DMT); fluorescence microscopy, ELISA and cell culture. She has knowledge in project management, from the preparation of proposals, development and preparation of reports. Accredited as a permanent professor of the Multicenter Postgraduate Program in Physiological Sciences and collaborating professor of the Professional Master's Degree in Biology Teaching. She is currently developing scientific research related to the involvement of female sex hormones in the modulation of vascular function by perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) in physiological situations and in risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, such as obesity and chronic stress.
