Sociologist and professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais since 2012. Her classes' themes are about gender and feminism, power and social inequality, sociological theories and qualitative methodology that combines with participant observation and biographical interviews. She is currently a researcher at the International Mixed Laboratory - Social Activities, Gender, Markets and Mobilities from Below (SAGEMM) and in this context carries out research on the insertion of women in the market (in the broad sense, which intertwines work, politics, culture and religion) in the northeast of Minas Gerais. Her most recent publications discuss new social policies in Brazil, their local dimension and their implications in gender, class, race/ethnicity and generation relations; the mediating role of women in social policy and the persistence of gender and race/ethnic inequalities.
