Everton Hilo de Souza

Doctor of Science (Nuclear Energy in Agriculture Biology in Agriculture and the Environment) from the University of São Paulo, with a research stay at the University of Georgia. Holds a Masters degree in Agricultural Sciences from the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia and a degree in Agronomy from the same institution. Currently, he is a researcher at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV Conhecimento), a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Plant Genetic Resources at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia, and in the Graduate Program in Biotechnology at Centro Universitário Maria Milza. He teaches courses in Plant Anatomy, Plant Systematics and Reproduction, Conservation of Plant Genetic Resources, Intellectual Property and Technological Innovation, and Technology Commercialization. He completed postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia and Embrapa Cassava and Fruits. His expertise lies in Botany and Biodiversity, with a focus on Plant Anatomy, Plant Reproduction, Pollination Biology, Tissue Culture, and Plant Breeding, primarily working in floriculture and fruit crops. He has published over 130 articles in indexed journals in Brazil and abroad, as well as a book, 15 book chapters, and four registered and protected cultivars in the SNPC/MAPA, with several others accepted and submitted. He has participated in numerous national and international conferences, presenting over 200 abstracts in his areas of expertise.
