Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de Botucatu. Instituto de Biociências (IBB) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
I hold a degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), with both a Bachelor's and a Teaching degree completed between 2008 and 2012. In 2015, I obtained a Master's degree in General and Applied Biology, with an emphasis on Cellular, Structural, and Functional Biology, from the same institution. I then completed my Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Kentucky, USA, in 2020. After my Ph.D., I pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, which I completed in 2023. During this experience, I worked as a researcher at the Burns Laboratory at Harvard Medical School and as a doctoral student and lab technician at the Famulski Laboratory at the University of Kentucky. Currently, I am a Preceptor Professor of Embryology and Genetics and a Collaborative Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of Bauru (FMBRU), USP, where I continue to contribute to both teaching and research. I have significant experience in gene editing, including the use of CRISPR-Cas9 in zebrafish, as well as advanced molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, plasmid editing, and western blotting. I also have expertise in microscopy techniques, both optical and fluorescence, including confocal microscopy, light sheet microscopy, in situ hybridization, and immunohistochemistry. My academic background is complemented by fluency in English and proficiency in various software tools, including Microsoft Office, Prism, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I have been awarded several academic recognitions, including a postdoctoral fellowship funded by the American Heart Association. I am committed to scientific research and the training of new professionals, always seeking to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology.
